The PKGBUILD tries to use $pkgdir before the repo is cloned, so you get errors like these:

mkdir: cannot create directory ‘/debian’: Permission denied
touch: cannot touch '/debian/control': No such file or directory

Not sure if it still works nonetheless

among the dependencies libfreetype-dev should be replaced with libfreetype6-dev debian package name
